About SkyGear

**SKYGEAR INC.,**

The Skygear Co. was founded in 1994.

Skygear operate manufacturing facility in Eumsung located southeast of Seoul Korea. In 1995, Skygear opened the Namwon factory, which includes a light aircraft testing runway with new aircraft developing and parts manufacturing equipments. 

Skygear now operates airframe assembly factory in Korea along with composit parts manufacturing factory in Qingdao China.

The SkyGear U.S.A. Inc. in Compton, California established for international marketing and customer service.

SkyGear is now equipped to perform:

Several innovative sportplanes have emerged from the SkyGear design center including three concept sportplanes, Legend, Comet series, and Skygear series.

Skygear's Entry into the U.S.

In February 1998, Skygear exhibit its Comet model in Sun & Fun.

COMET Series

SKYGEAR SPORT

Roomy, composit covered 4130 cro-moly truss structure sportplane.

In 2001, the COMET was completely redesigned. It incorporated state-of-the-art technology that moved it up the scale in the midsize COMET SP. It was introduced with the Rotax582, 618, 912 and new Jabiru engines, in 1999, after 3 years research and development the SKYGEAR was replaced by the all-new subcompact SKYGEAR U.L.

With the SKYGEAR U.L, Skygear offered customers high-tech sophistication and features, but still at an entry-level price. For model year 2000, the SKYGEAR 2000 was redesigned to offer buyers even more value and quality. For the 2001 model year, SKYGAR models were upgraded to the powerful four-cylinder engine. In 2002, the SKYGEAR ALBATROSS models were fitted with folding wings and third seat as standard.
